Bowen Hammitt was born on Thursday, September 9th. His parents are Matthew and Sarah Hammitt. Matthew is the lead singer of a Christian band called Sanctus Real. Bowen has two sisters. Emmerson (Emmy) is four and Claire is two. He was born with a serious and rare heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He had his first open heart surgery on Monday. Please pray for Bowen and his family. Yesterday they thought Bowen was not going to make it, but a nurse kept his heart going for about 30 minutes until his surgeon got there.
